Adaptive Skydiving Program

SkydiveBC North is one of only a few skydiving centers in the world that has an Adaptive Skydiving Program.
The program began in 2008 with the development and testing of our adaptive skydiving system. Modifications
to the Tandem parachute passenger harness and specially designed ankle and knee cuffing system were tested
over several jumps the summer of 2008. Many changes in the design and operating procedures by co-designers
Al Mac Donald and Barry Cyr since, have produced performance results far beyond our expectations. Using
higher opening altitudes and slower opening parachutes have allowed us to take passengers to full freefall
speeds of 200 kilometers per hour!

We would like to thank the following sponsers of our PARAchutist Program
